【略歴】
1972年11月4日、東京都生まれ。
大学卒業後、ロンドンに4年間滞在。その後、ロサンゼルス、フランスへ移り、10年間を海外で過ごす。
帰国後、映画を諏訪敦彦氏に、写真を瀬戸正人氏に師事。映画監督として多様な作品を手がけるほか、写真家としても個展を開催。近年はポスト・パフォーマンス作品の制作にも取り組んでいる。
慶應義塾大学大学院メディアデザイン研究科リサーチャーを経て、2026年3月に東京藝術大学大学院映像研究科博士後期課程を修了し、博士（学術）を取得した。現在は同大学院の協力研究員を務める。
【Biography】
Born on November 4, 1972, in Tokyo, Japan.After graduating from university, Hiroyuki Oda moved to London, where he lived for four years. He then relocated to Los Angeles and later to France, spending 10 years abroad.
After returning to Japan, he studied filmmaking under Nobuhiro Suwa and photography under Masato Seto.Oda has directed a wide variety of films and held solo photography exhibitions. Recently, he has expanded his practice into post-performance art.
Following his tenure as a researcher at the Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (KMD), he completed his doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts, in March 2026, earning a Ph.D. He currently serves as an Adjunct Researcher at the same graduate school.
